Sister Patricia Fox should not have been deported, Locsin says
Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. has blamed the “stupid” lawyers of Australian missionary nun Patricia Fox for failing to stop her deportation a few months ago.
“Sister Fix should not have been deported. That violated religious freedom,” he tweeted.
Locsin however could not do anything about the case of Fox. “I cannot. I am the Secretary of Foreign Affairs not her stupid lawyers who never raised the constitutional issue,” he added.
Fox was kicked out of the country last November after the government accused her of violating her visa when she engaged in alleged political activities.
Locsin made the comment about Fox in light of the controversy involving a Chinese woman who threw a drink at a policeman who implemented the MRT on liquids. He said the lady should be charged for the incident.
“But (taho) incident remains trivial. Charge her for it,” he added.
