Sotto thinks SOGIE bill discriminates against straight people: It favors gays, not even lesbians

Senate President Tito Sotto branded the Anti-Discrimination Bill (ADB) as biased for the LGBTQ community, especially homosexuals.

“Alisin lang natin yung mga controversial na mga provision, pwedeng sabihin natin na anti-discriminatory talaga yung batas, (it’s) for everyone, not just for gays. Because particularly pag pinag-aralan mo it’s concentrated on gays, not even lesbians,” said Sotto in an interview with DZMM.

Sotto said the most controversial issues hounding the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) Equality Bill involved religion, education and social rules and not a transwoman using ladies’ toilets.

Sotto said the SOGIE bill could also be abused by the LGBT community to break dress codes in restaurants, offices, and clubs.

“Let’s say sa Sta. Elena (Golf and Country Club), bawal ang naka shorts at saka walang collar sa club house.

Sotto said that getting labeled as anti-discriminatory does not mean the bill would be perfect because it could also be discriminatory. “We’re receiving so many comments and I told them, padalhan nyo kami ng mga resolusyon.

For example, katulad natin, nag golf tayo Cong. Ted.

Hindi pinakita ano nangyari before.

Sotto thinks only ladies’ toilet is problematic: I’ve yet to see a lesbian enter men’s CR

Senate President Tito Sotto thinks only women have problems about non-females entering public toilets reserved for them. Sotto that almost of the complaints about toilet use came from women getting uncomfortable having a male-looking person inside their toilets.

” Lalaki walang problema. I have yet to see a lesbian enter a men’s toilet eh. Walang problema dahil they use the women’s toilet because they know their kasarian,” said Sotto in an interview with DZMM. He said this was the same case with thewhere the biggest dissenters came from females.
