Super trapo moves! Orphaned ‘Anak ni Mar’ politikos adopted by Bong Go
Several Liberal Party politikos who used to support former senator Mar Roxas are set to jump ship to PDP-Laban and back the rumored candidacy of Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go for senator.
The politikos, known as “Anak ni Mar,” will take their oath as PDP-Laban members on Thursday (May 17) at Club Filipino in Greenhills.
According to the invitation for the event, the oath taking will also mark the launch of Sulong ang Pag-unlad Movement (SAPM).
The “Anak ni Mar” actively campaigned for Roxas when he ran for president in 2016. The politikos comprising the group include Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas, Cavite Rep. Francis Gerald Abaya, Sta. Rosa, Laguna Mayor Danilo Fernandez and former YACAP party-list Rep. Carol Jayne Lopez.
Go has been going around the country in the guise of helping the needy, a move which critics see as a form of early campaigning.
However, he has yet to officially announce his political plans for 2019.
