Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr., on Wednesday said that some 1.3 million Filipinos have already received their COVID-19 shots.
Of the 1,353,107 who received the shots, 209,456 have received their second dose.
During the briefing of the House Committees on Health and on Trade and Industry, Galvez said the 989,703 who received with COVID-19 belong to the A1 priority group (health workers), 132,948 belong to the A2 priority group (senior citizens) and 180,315 to the A3 group (persons with comorbidities).
Galvez said the Philippines is ranked fourth in terms of the total number of vaccines that were already given.
The Philippines is behind Indonesia (17.2 millon), Singapore (2.2 million) and Myanmar (1.740 million).
