Still grateful! Manicad, Mangudadatu join Hugpong victory bash despite poll defeat

The failed senatorial bids of former broadcast journalist Jiggy Manicad and outgoing Maguindanao Rep. Zajid “Dong” Mangudadatu didn’t stop them from joining the victory party organized by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) last Monday.
Manicad and Mangudadatu attended the thanksgiving dinner arranged by the HNP secretariat which was held at the Rigodon Ball Room of the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City.
Despite his loss, Manicad said it was still an honor to be part of the 13-man Senate of the regional political entity of Mayor Duterte. He said he wishes good luck to all the winning HNP senators during last month’s midterm elections.
“Maraming salamat kay Mayor Inday Sara Duterte at sa aking mga kapwa kandidato sa Hugpong ng Pagbabago! Good luck din po sa ating mga bagong Senado,” he said.
For his part, Mangudadatu said he will definitely come back and continue to help the Duterte administration in his own personal capacity.
Mangudadatu was ranked with almost 7.5 million and followed by Manicad with 6.89 million based on the final official tally of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
