There will be “no session” and public hearings at the Senate next week.

The Senate, which observes a four-day work week, will resume its session on Dec. 9.

“Wala kasi tayong pasok sa Lunes (Dec. 2) dahil Pasay City Day,” Senate Majority Leader Migz Zubiri said when asked about the weeklong “recess.”

“Then, Tuesday and Wednesday bicam pa,” he said referring to the bicameral conference committee meeting on the P4.1 trillion 2020 national budget.

Zubiri added, “Iyung members nang bicam nang Senate umabot nang 15 members. So, ‘pag nag attend sila nang bicam malamang wala na kaming quorum.”

“At maraming road closures due to SEA Games such as World trade, PICC and MOA SM,” he said.

“Kaya nag decision yung leadership that we just adjourn till the 9th (of December),” Zubiri said.
