Lawyer Ferdinand Topacio has filed a motion asking the Department of Justice (DOJ) to inhibit from the Degamo murder case for alleged bias against his client Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Arnolfo Teves Jr. He suggested instead the Office of the Ombudsman should instead handle the case since it is “not a political office.”

Former Justice Undersecretary Reynante Orceo on Friday, June 2, denied offering P8 million to each of the detained suspects allegedly involved in the March 4 murder of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
