The House Committee on Ethics and Privileges issued its ruling on Tuesday on the case Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. who failed to return to the country despite the expiration of his travel authority.
The hearing was called off on orders of House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
The House Committee on Public Order and Safety deferred the approval of the substitute bill improving the structure of the Bureau of Fire Protection due to the absence of its chief during the hearing.
