Health Secretary Francisco Duque III on Monday said Metro Manila is “ready” should the government’s Covid-19 task force decide to deescalate the region to Alert Level 2 next month.
Senator Leila de Lima expressed alarm over the reported peaking of Covid-19 cases in several regions outside Metro Manila, especially in the Bicol region, which logged its highest daily tally last January 20 since the pandemic began.
