After being virtually stripped of funding for 2021, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)’s national broadband program still has a chance to get the funding it needs, Sen. Panfilo Lacson said Saturday.

Sen. Panfilo Lacson is not too keen on having the bicameral conference committee handling the P4.5-trillion budget bill be “reduced” to a committee of two, even as he stressed anew the need for transparency in the entire process.
As he prepares for the bicameral conference committee deliberations on the 2021 budget bill, Sen. Panfilo Lacson reiterated his call to fellow lawmakers for transparency as far as their amendments to the proposed budget are concerned.
