The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo welcomed the latest Pulse Asia survey which showed a surge in her trust and approval ratings.
Robredo’s approval ratings went up by eight percent, from 50 percent in September to 58 percent in December, while her trust rating also rose to 53 percent from 46 percent.
This was based on the results of the latest poll conducted from December 3 to 8, 2019—a week after Robredo briefly served as co-chair of the Interagency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
“We are humbled by and grateful for our fellow Filipinos’ continued trust and support for the Vice President,” Robredo’s spokesperson Atty. Barry Gutierrez said in a statement on Monday (December 23).
Gutierrez said the Vice President’s improved poll standing is an affirmation that her “quiet yet committed efforts” have come into fruition halfway into her term.
“This will serve as further encouragement to work even harder for the lives, welfare, and rights of every Filipino family, especially the underprivileged and marginalized,” he added.
