No more holding back.

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has appealed to news organizations to call out the alleged incompetence of President Duterte in times of crisis.

Trillanes, in a post on Twitter, said the media should hold Duterte accountable for his supposed inaction. The former lawmaker made the remark after the country suffered a heavy onslaught of typhoon Ulysses. Some netizens were looking for the President during the storm as the hashtag #NasaanAngPangulo became a trending topic on Twitter last Thursday.

“I am pleading with the media to call out duterte’s incompetence, dereliction of duty and absenteeism during times of crises. Make him accountable!” Trillanes said.

Trillanes lashed out at Duterte for allegedly taking the calamity lightly despite the suffering of the people. He also asked the media if they were afraid of Duterte if they start calling him out for his incompetence.

“Parang naglalaro na lang sya while Pinoys suffer kasi alam nyang “nice” (or takot?) kayo sa kanya,” he said.
