Tañada opposes Misuari’s war threat: Respect the process
Former Quezon Rep. Erin Tañada has called on Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) chair Nur Misuari to respect process on the proposed shift to federalism and the final say of the people on the matter.
Tañada, an Otso Diretso senatorial candidate, made the comment after Misuari threatened to go to war if federalism fails during a recent meeting with President Duterte.
“I have respect for Nur Misuari for his aspirations for the Bangsa Moro. But I disagree with his threat to declare war if Federalism doesn’t happen,” he tweeted.
“He should understand that there is a process to follow. If at the end of the process the people say NO, he should respect that,” he said.
