Tapusin muna ang imbestigasyon! Palace to senators: Hold off judgement vs Albayalde

Malacañang asked senators to avoid making comments about resigned Philippine National Police chief General Oscar Albayalde pending completion of an investigation.
“Mawalang-galang sa ibang senador. Pag nag-iimbestiga ka, wag ka munang magsalita na guilty ito, o ang ebidensya malakas. Hayaan mo na muna sana matapos at saka ka gumawa ng rekomendasyon,” said Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo Monday.
“Otherwise, may problema ka talaga. Pare pareho kayo magkakaproblema,” he added.
Senate blue ribbon committee chair Senator Richard Gordon earlier noted that there is enough circumstantial and testimonial evidence against Albayalde, who was accused of protecting police officers suspected of recycling illegal drugs seized during narcotics operations.
Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon, on one hand, said the resigned cop is not yet off the hook despite his decision to step down from his post.
At the Senate’s hearing on the “ninja cops” issue, a retired police general also claimed that then Pampanga provincial police chief Albayalde told him that he received “a little” from the 2013 anti-illegal drug operation in Mexico town.
