Tawagan na lang si teacher! DepEd discouraging physical enrollment

The Department of Education (DepEd) wants parents to use technology in enrolling their children as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

DepEd Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla said parents can call teachers for enrollment, which will kick off on June 1 and end on June 30 for public schools.

Sevilla, however, said parents can enroll their children physically at schools if they are transferees or new students. Physical distancing must be strictly observed during enrollment, she added.

With the opening of classes set about two months away, Sevilla said DepEd will ask parents through an online or mobile survey if they will support holding virtual classes for students.
