The President has “been consistent” that he will step down in 2016

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte clarified news reports that Aquino may change his mind and run for a second term in 2016. “I would like to clarify that I never said the President may change his mind,” Valte stressed. “I would like to point out…I did not say the President may change his mind, Very clearly and I was talking merely of the President’s consistency when it comes to saying “Kayo ang boss ko,” she explained.  Tempo

The President has been consistent” that he will step down in 2016. He has consistently held the people to be his bosses. That has not changed for the President, and he continues to hold fast to this, to this day,” she added. Valte said that instead of focusing on political issues, the President “has been focused on events and other matters that continue to need presidential attention.”  Tempo
