Think positive! Gadon hopeful Robredo will be charged for sedition
Lawyer Larry Gadon on Friday (Nov. 15) believes Vice President Leni Robredo and her co-respondents will get indicted over their alleged involvement in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series.
“I am also quite hopeful that the charges of inciting to sedition will be resolved in favor of the complainant because what is being established is the probable cause,” said Gadon, who is the lawyer of Peter Joemel Advincula alias Bikoy.
The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) filed the sedition case before the Department of Justice (DOJ) and underwent preliminary investigation before a panel of prosecutors.
“In preliminary investigations it is enough that the charges as alleged with convincing proof are sufficient to arrive at a conclusion that a crime may have been committed,” Gadon said .
“It will be up to the Courts to determine the guilt of the accused based on evidence beyond reasonable doubt,” he added.
In its complaint, the PNP-CIDG accused Robredo and her co-respondents of of sedition, inciting to sedition, cyber libel, libel, estafa, harboring a criminal, and obstruction of justice.
The case is in connection with the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos which has accused Duterte family members as being involved the narcotics trade.
Peter Joemel Advincula, who revealed himself to be the hooded Bikoy in the videos, claimed that members of the opposition were behind the videos meant to discredit and destabilize the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.
