The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) on Thursday denied asking the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate Vice President Leni Robredo for allegedly competing against the government’s efforts in addressing the coronavirus disease pandemic.

Commissioner Atty. Manuelito Luna’s call on NBI to probe Robredo for illegal solicitations is just his “personal opinion” and is not reflective of the PACC’s sentiments, according to Commissioner Greco Belgica.

“PACC is not asking anyone to investigate VP Leni Robredo. On the other hand, we are thankful to everyone who [is] helping the frontliners and the needy including the VP,” Belgica said in a statement.

He added that it is not time to play politics instead ensure the needy get taken care of.

“This is not the time for politicking. We are not concerned with any personality. Our main concern is to make sure all the needy Filipinos get all the help they need the President promised. Our concern is to end this [pandemic],” according to him.

“Our concern is to save lives and rebuild our country and the lives of our people after all this ends. Mag tulungan po tayo. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng tumutulong pati ang hindi lumalabas ng bahay. Tayo po ay nakakatulong sa ating pag sunod. Wala pong kulay, wala pong politika ngayon. Magkakasama po tayo bilang Pilipino sa labang ito,” Belgica concluded.
