Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta on Monday (Nov) filed six more complaints against Iloilo 1st District Representative Janette Garin and Health Secretary Francisco Duque III for their alleged liability over those who died after getting inoculated with the Dengvaxia anti-dengue vaccine.
“Anim na ngayon na bago,” said Acosta who went to the Department of Justice (DOJ) to file the complaints on behalf of the families of the victims.
The complaints concern the deaths of six children, namely, Renelyn Avellanosa, Psalm Dioquino, Lalaine Laylay, Levie Losanga, Theresa Romano, and Lennon Carl Ribo.
In the complaints, Garin, Duque and their co-respondents are accused of reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide, violating the Anti-Torture Act, and violating the Consumer Protection Act.
With the new complaints, Acosta noted that the PAO has filed before the DOJ over more than 50 complaints now.
“So umaabot na po ng 55. 54 yung sa patay, dengvaxia dead victims, at isa po sa buhay kay Mark Joseph (Estandarte),” she said.
