To ‘heal as one,’ all hands should be on deck, including ABS-CBN — Ang Probinsyano

Ang Probinsyano party-list Rep. Ronnie Ong joined calls urging the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to reconsider its cease and desist order against ABS-CBN, whose license expired on May 4.

“I am one with the public in urging the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to reconsider its ill-timed cease and desist order and allow ABS-CBN to continuously operate,” he said in a statement.

“There is more than enough basis in policy, practice, administrative due process and equity to support the continued operation of the network while the House of Representatives is still hearing the convoluted issues surrounding its franchise application,” Ong said.

“More importantly, we are in a state of emergency. If WE ARE TO HEAL AS ONE, we need all helping hands and sectors on deck,” he said.

“In these challenging times, we need to unite for the greater good.
