CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Administration senatorial bet Francis Tolentino is confident that local alliances entered by Mayor Sara Duterte’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) will help boost the chance of all its senatorial bets in the upcoming May 13 midterm polls.

In a recent interview in Cabanatuan City, Tolentino said Hugpong’s local partners such the Unang Sigaw-Partido ng Pagbabago party of Nueva Ecija Gov. Czarina Umali and former Gov. Oyie Umali were very hospitable and will surely help deliver the needed votes for them to secure a senate seat in May.

“Yung local Hugpong (partners) is very hospitable. Appreciated lahat yung ginagawa nila especially yung mga local candidates,” said Tolentino.

“Ang nangyayari ngayon, napapadali yung desisyon ng taongbayan kung sino yung pipiliin nila,” Tolentino added.

Aside from the local party of the Umali clan, Mayor Duterte’s political entity recently forged pact with Bileg party of former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson and the Ilocano Timpuyog party of administration senatorial bet and incumbent Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos.

Part of the agreement between HNP and the local parties is to secure many senate seats as possible for the Presidential daughter’s bets in the upcoming May 13 elections.

Duterte earlier stressed that she is ‘60 percent’ confident that the local alliances they have forged in their visits to provinces will deliver votes for the Hugpong’s senate slate.

“Mga 60 percent (confident)… malalaman natin ‘yan after elections,” Duterte said during the event in Cabanatuan City.

“Minsan, nasasali kami sa local politics. But we always emphasize we are looking for friends… maraming, maraming kaibigan para sumuporta sa aming mga senators,” Duterte added.
