Administration senatorial bet Francis Tolentino has gained big in the latest non-commissioned pre-election survey conducted by Social Weather Station (SWS).
From 17th place last January, Tolentino now placed 14th and within striking distance in the Magic 12 based on the SWS figures which was conducted last February 25 to 28.
The former Tagaytay City mayor and chief political adviser of President Rodrigo Duterte is also the biggest gainer among senatorial aspirants since from mere 22 percent last month, about 32 percent are now saying that they will vote for Tolentino in the upcoming May 13 midterm elections.
Tolentino now is just two percent away from the 12th spot, currently being held by his fellow administration candidate, former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa.
Independent reelectionist Sen. Grace Poe kept the top spot followed by reelectionist administration bet Sen. Cynthia Villar.
Meanwhile from former Special Assistant to the President and administration senatorial candidate Christopher Lawreence ‘Bong’ Go is now ranked 3rd, in the latest figures from SWS.
Many election observers agreed that those ranked between 8th to 14th place are considered ‘statistically tied’ and has same chances of winning this coming May.
