Tricia Robredo quickly took to social media to express her exasperation after her mother, Vice President Leni Robredo, was sacked from her post as co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
In a tweet posted Sunday (November 24) as comment to the news of Robredo’s firing, Tricia said: “VPLGR: ‘Tinatanong nila ako, handa na ba ako sa trabaho na ito. Ang tanong ko – handa ba kayo para sa akin?’ Evidently, they weren’t.”
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo announced Robredo’s removal as ICAD co-chair less than three weeks after she was appointed to the post.
Panelo said Duterte sacked Robredo in response to Pangilinan’s earlier suggestion to fire her if the President does not trust her.
“This is also in response to the taunt and dare of VP Robredo for the President to just tell her that he wants her out,” he added.
