Trillanes claims Dick is Duterte’s top lackey: EJK whitewashed, Pulong absolved, Noy guilty

Three for three.

Senator Antonio Trillanes said Senator Dick Gordon has cemented his status as President Rodrigo Duterte’s top lackey in the Senate by going out of his way to please his master in three Blue Ribbon committee probes.

Trillanes said that after whitewashing charges of extrajudicial killings against Duterte and absolving presidential son, Pulong Duterte, in P6.4 billion drug smuggling of the Davao group, Gordon has by himself concluded that Duterte’s political eney, former President Noy Aquino, was responsible for the death of 14 children who took the anti-dengue vaccine, Sanofi’s Dengvaxia.

In an interview with DZBB’s Nimfa Ravelo, Trillanes said: “Sa hearing ng EJK, malakas ang ebidensiya galing kay (Davao Death Squad hitman Edgar) Matobato and (retired Davao City police officer Arturo) Lascañas pero inabsuwelto. Sa shabu smuggling, maliwanag ang links nila Pulong, pero ano ginawa niya (Gordon)? Inabsuwelto din.”

In the Dengvaxia hearings, Trillanes said Gordon based his indictment of Aquino, former Health Secretary Janet Garin and Budget Secretary Butch Abad primarily on the sweeping accusations made by Chief Public Attorney Persida Acosta.

Trillanes noted that Gordon based his self-styled committee report on Dengvaxia on his own statements after talking for “90 percent” in the series of hearings while he left out the expert opinion of resource persons who could not find any scientific evidence linking tthe anti-dengue vaccine to the death of 14 children presented by Acosta.

Trillanes pointed out that Gordon has this habit of making it appear that these one-sided reports were approved by the Blue Ribbon committee and the Senate plenary.

He said both the EJK and drug smuggling reports did not reach the plenary where he believed senators would reject his personal findings outright. But Trillanes said Gordon has done some damage by announcing these findings in a press conference and making the local and foreign media believe that the whole Senate stood by his biased reports.

In the Dengvaxia report, Trillanes said Gordon went ahead with a press conference even though no other senator has signed it.

“Etong mga papogi niya kay Duterte hindi makakalusot sa interpellation. Dito mo makita na publicity stunt as always by Mister Gordon,” Trillanes said.
