Don’t forget about Bicol.
Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Luis Villafuerte is asking for humanitarian aid for the people of Bicol following the devastation caused by recent typhoons. Bicol region is among the hard hit areas when typhoons Quinto, Rolly and Ulysses hit the country in recent weeks.
In an Instagram post, the governor said Bicolanos needed assistance even as he took pride of the resilience of the people.
“Bicolanos are the strongest people in the world, but after several typhoons in a row plus covid 19, we need your help!” he wrote on Instagram.
Villafuerte also shared a contact number for any donation to the typhoon-hit province. “For all donations: +639190059827 #BangonCamsur,” he said.
Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Raymund Villafuerte echoed the plea for help for his home province. He is hoping the Camarines Sur won’t be forgotten as the public’s attention is glued to the onslaught in Metro Manila.
“While everyone is focused on the havoc typhoon Ulysses brought to Metro Manila. Pls don’t forget the triple devastation #camsurhas experienced due to typhoon Quinta , a few days later super typhoon Rolly and most recently typhoon Ulysses,” he said in an Instagram post.
