Big brother to the rescue.
Manila has sent financial assistance to two places devastated by super typhoon Rolly, Mayor Isko Moreno said Monday.
In a Facebook post, the mayor said P1 million will be donated to Catanduanes while another P1 million will be given to Camarines Sur.
The funds are sourced from the Manila residents and corporations who responded to the mayor’s fund-raising drive for the Rolly victims.
The mayor shared online the photos of the two Land Bank checks addressed to the two provinces.
“Kinausap natin kanina sina Catanduanes governor Joseph Cua at Camarines Sur congressman LRay Villafuerte.
Earlier, the Manila City government donated a thousand sacks of rice to typhoon-hit Albay.
