Former senator Lito Lapid has leapfrogged to third place in a senatorial race that now sees two women vying for the lead, according to Pulse Asia’s latest voter preference survey.

Results of the nationwide survey conducted between April 10 to 14 showed reelectionist senators Grace Poe and Cynthia Villar sharing the top place in a heated race.

Next to Lapid are Taguig Rep. Pia Cayetano (ranked 3rd to 6th), former Special Assistant to the President Bong Go (ranked 4th to 8th) and Senator Sonny Angara (ranked 4th to 9th).

Tied for the 5th to 9th place are former Senator Bong Revilla and former Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa. They are followed by Senator Nancy Binay (ranked 6th to 9th).

Four politikos are tied for the 10th to 14th place in the survey, namely: Senators Koko Pimentel and Bam Aquino, Ilocos Norte governor Imee Marcos and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada.

Rounding up the list of candidates with a statistical chance of winning the senatorial race is Senator JV Ejercito, who is ranked 10th to 16th.

Pulse Asia released the survey results Tuesday (April 30). A total of 1,800 adults took part in the poll.
