Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin has directed all court employees to observe the proper dress code as part of his efforts to uplift the image of the judiciary.

“It’s high time we went back to that image of the judiciary that is very respected, the judiciary that is conscious of its place in the society,” he told court employees during his recent visit at the Quezon City Hall of Justice.

With this, he adviced court employees to no longer wear collarless shirts.

“May collar dapat ang isuot ninyo. And no loud colors please,” he said.

Apart from this, he reiterated his call to court employees to be mindful of their use of mobile phones during office hours.

“If you are in public areas of the court, the corridors, the lobbies, the elevators, do not be caught using the cellphone,” he said.

“If ever a cellphone rings and you are to answer, please go inside the room, conceal yourself from the public,” he added.
