The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases has lifted the restriction of non-essential outbound travel of Filipinos starting October 21.
In an interview during today’s Laging Handa briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that outbound Filipino travelers may be allowed to leave the country subject to the submission of confirmed roundtrip tickets and adequate travel and health insurance for those traveling on tourist visas.
They must also execute an immigration declaration acknowledging the risks involved in traveling and have a negative Antigen result taken within 24 hours before departure, added Roque.
Outbound passengers should also follow the guidelines issued by the National Task Force Against Covid-19 for returning overseas Filipinos.
“Ito ay applicable sa lahat ng Pilipino. Puwede na pong mag biyahe muli, maski non-essentials, kasama na rin po yung mga Love is Not Tourism. Yung mga Pilipino na merong mga fiance at mga iniibig sa ibang bansa, pupuwede niyo na po silang dalawin doon sa ibang bansa,” the secretary said.
