‘Unless you are driven by patriotism’: Duterte discourages daughter Sara to run for highest public office

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday reiterated his advice to his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, not to run for president in 2022.
Susmaryosep,” Duterte said in his speech in Jolo, Sulu.
The presidency, he added, is a thankless job.
“Suweldo mo 194,000. Pero if just a matter of ambition, lay off. Wala ka talagang makuha diyan, pagod lang,” according to Duterte.
“Unless you are driven by patriotism. Kaya sabi ko sa kanya in English they say, ‘if you cannot stand the heat in the kitchen, get out’,” he also said.
