President Rodrigo Duterte said he will be among the last to get the coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine.
In his weekly public address on Wednesday, Duterte said health care workers, teachers and social workers, and uniformed personnel will be prioritized to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
Unahin natin sila,” according to him.
The President said priority should also be given to essential workers outside the health and education sector; poor and vulnerable sector; overseas Filipino workers; and other remaining workers.
So sila ‘yung medyo matamaan if the pandemic would remain as it is,” he explained.
Last August, Duterte said he would be willing to receive the vaccine first to allay safety fears.
