Utang naman ‘yan! Mar Roxas: Pinoys should be priority workers in projects financed by China

Former Trade Secretary and senatorial candidate Mar Roxas has strongly opposed the influx of Chinese workers in the country.

Roxas, during his “palengke tour” in Carbon Market in Cebu, questioned Beijing’s insistence for Chinese workers to be hired for infrastructure projects in the Philippines when there are not enough jobs for Filipinos.

Jobs in the Philippines are for Filipinos, he stressed, even if the project is being financed by China.

The opposition senatorial bet added that during his term as trade secretary, he negotiated contract with other countries that had no collateral and loan conditions like the recent deals with China.

Yung mga Koreano, mga Taiwanese wala ring hininging ganoon. So doon tayo umutang. Roxas added.
