Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has not abandoned his housing project for the less fortunate Pasig residents.

Sotto said those living in the danger zone will get priority in the planned socialized housing project of the local government.

The millennial politiko showed on Twitter the photos of the proposed housing project in Pasig City. The housing project, he said, will have a strong structure, access to water and power, and will be built near health services, schools and livelihood.

“The priority for our soon-to-rise Socialized Housing Sites will be those who are now living in DANGER ZONES (halimbawa, sa Floodway),” Sotto tweeted.

“Hangad nating mabigyan sila ng pabahay na ligtas, marangal, at kung saan may malaking potensyal sila para itaas ang antas ng kanilang pamumuhay,” he said.

Sotto also said he never promised to give everyone a housing unit, saying it was not possible for now. His actual campaign pledge is there will be no demolition unless the affected residents are assured of location.

“Walang relokasyon at walang demolisyon, HANGGA’T hindi maayos ang paglilipatan’ at ‘Magiging makatarungan ang sistema… Walang palakasan sa pagpili ng benipisaryo,'” Sotto said.
