Villanueva, Llamas, Afable: Who will be the next PNoy spokesperson?
Another Cabinet official has been added to a short list of individuals being considered by President Aquino for appointment as new spokesperson.
A Politiko source said the media-friendly Secretary Joel Villanueva, chief of the Technical Education and Skills Development Athority (TESDA), was among those being eyed to level up Malacanang’s communication team. Villanueva, who has been TESDA chief since July 2010, is the son of Jesus is Lord founder Bro. Eddie Villanueva.
The others being considered are Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Ronald Llmas, a former president of Akbayan party-list, and Silvestre” Yong” Afable Jr. a former chief negotiator of the Philippines Peace panel and former communications director of the Arroyo Administration wh signed due to the “ Hello Garci” scandal.
Malacanang’s communication crew is expected to have a vacancy with the appointment of Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. as the next head of the Civil Service Commission.
