Villar holds power lunch with Marcos, Dela Rosa, Revilla, Tolentino ahead of Senate president election
A week before the opening of the 18th Congress, five newly elected senators had a private luncheon meeting at an undisclosed location over the weekend.
Attending the power lunch were administration Senators Cynthia Villar, Imee Marcos, Bato dela Rosa, Bong Revilla, and Francis Tolentino. Photos shared by Marcos showed the senators having lunch and discussing matters including their next seating arrangement at the main Senate hall.
Villar, wife of former Senator and bilyonaryo Manny Villar, has been floated as a potential Senate President contender by her colleagues following the victory in the recent midterm elections. The five senators were among who did not sign the manifesto of support for incumbent Senate President Tito Sotto.
