The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Monday said that senior citizens or those aged 60 years old and over should be allowed to enter supermarkets and groceries during the Luzon wide enhanced community quarantine.
In an interview with DZBB, DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez said they have issued a memorandum circular allowing elderly shoppers to enter grocery stories.
“Hindi bawal ang mga senior diyan sa groceries,” according to Lopez.
The DTI chief also called on supermarkets not to shorten their operating hours as it will only draw more shoppers.
