Wala kasing pumapalag! Someday someone will shoot Trillanes for being too arrogant – Duterte
President Rodrigo Duterte thinks his arch critic Sen. Antonio Trillanes is too big headed for his own good, somebody’s likely to put a bullet in him.
In a speech in Cebu, Duterte said Trillanes was just your run of the mill politiko who differentiated himself from the pack by acting out a tough guy role in the Senate.
“This person meanwhile is just ordinary. You know how politicians are. Trillanes is always trying to act tough and threatening and thinks he’s better than he is. That’s why he challenges the (government),” said Duterte.
“He feels confident because he’s from the Armed Forces, the Navy. But who would believe him? He likes to fight a lot. He was part of the Magdalo before and was pardoned by Aquino. Now look what happened. He’s always calling for a fight,” he added.
The 47-year old former Navy officer launched two failed coup d’etat – the 2003 Oakwood Mutiny and the Peninsula Siege in 2007.
Duterte said Trillanes has been able to bully people around because nobody dared to stand up to him. But he believed the Gringo Honasan clone would get his comeuppance.
“He believes that he’s the only tough one around because nobody fought him back. But there will come a day that someone will shoot him because he’s arrogant,” Duterte said.
