Malacañang condoled with the family of Michelle Silvertino, the woman who died waiting for a bus ride to Bicol.
The government will ensure that such an incident does not happen again, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in an online press briefing Thursday.
Necessary assistance, he added, will be extended to Silvertino’s relatives.
In September 2019, Silvertino, 33, traveled to Manila to work in Saudi Arabia as a domestic helper. She, however, failed her medical exam and decided to work as a househelp in Antipolo, Rizal.
