Doing away with the “kanya-kanya” mentality of some political groups, Sen. Grace Poe revealed over the weekend that her team will be fielding a “unified line-up” for its senatorial slate for the 2016 elections.
“It’s a unified line-up,” she said.
Poe stressed that no body will be left out under her administration once she wins the presidency next year. She also took potshots against the Liberal Party, which leaders are perceived to be known for prioritizing support for their allies and supporters.
“Importante ‘yun,” she said, referring to unity. “Hindi naman dahil lamang sa partido kundi kung ano ang ma-iaambag mo para makatulong ka. Kasi alam mo kung ang gagawin mo lang… hindi itong partido lang na ito, ito kalaban namin, eh kung magaling naman,” Poe said.
Poe and his running-mate, Sen. Francis Escudero, are running under the slogan of “Walang Maiiwan” and “Gobyernong May Puso” platform where everybody will play role in pushing for a better Philippines in the years to come.
Last Friday, Poe and Escudero expressed full support for the senatorial bid of lawyer Lorna Kapunan, of Aksyon Demokratiko. Apart from Kapunan, the duo have openly given support to the senatorial bids of Rep. Neri Colmenares and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
The team is expected to formally announce the senatorial line-up within the week.
