Former Magdalo party-list representative Gary Alejano has failed to refute the allegations that he was involved in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series.

The office of Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Olivia Torrevillas said only Alejano and Jnnell Sangalang were the only persons who did not file counter-affidavits among the respondents named in the complaint of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).

However, the panel of prosecutors chaired by Torrevillas has already ended the conduct of its preliminary investigation of the complaint.

The panel already warned that those who failed to file counter-affidavits last September 6 are “deemed to have waived their rights in submitting counter-affidavits.”

The respondents who were allowed to submit counter-affidavits in a later date are detained Sen. Leila De Lima, human rights lawyer Chel Diokno, and Danilo Songco.

In its complaint, the PNP-CIDG accused the respondents of sedition, inciting to sedition, cyber libel, libel, estafa, harboring a criminal, and obstruction of justice.

The case is in connection with the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos which accused members of the Duterte as being involved the narcotics trade.

Peter Joemel Advincula, who revealed himself to be the hooded Bikoy in the videos, claimed that members of the opposition were behind the videos which were meant to discredit and destabilize the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.
