Public Attorneys Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta has warned the public to watch out against scams using her name.
Acosta made the warning after receiving information that a scam using her name has been claiming to the public that they have won cash prizes.
“Scam po ito,” she warned in her Facebook post.
“Please do not be deceived,” she told the public.
Acosta pointed out that the scam is only “using my name for fraudulent schemes.”
In her Facebook post, the sender of the bogus text messages claimed that “I’m ATTY PERSIDA ACOSTA.”
The sender also said that the message was sent as “assistance in GMA7.”
“Dahil ber’month na tayo mga Kapuso namimigay kami ng maagang pamasko gamit ang 500/sim card#,” the message read.
