You want change? Let’s turn to ‘Juana Change!’ Andanar taps Mae Paner for ideas on how to improve gov’t media

If you want some change in your nationhood, who you gonna call? Juana Change!

At least that’s what Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Martin Andanar had in mind when he turned to Mae Paner also known as ‘Juana Change’ for ideas on how to improve the services of various state-owned media organizations.

The PCO shared in its official Twitter account late Saturday evening photos of Andanar’s meeting with Paner in her residence along with some members of BlogWatch.Ph to discuss government media platforms.

‘Juana Change’ used to be a staunch supporter of former President Benigno S. Aquino III until she had a falling out with him halfway through his administration citing differences of opinions on various issues.

Last June, Paner openly declared her support for President Rodrigo Duterte who won the presidency on a campaign platform of change, but said she would not hesitate to criticize him if she has to.

“Kung saan tayo makakatulong by way of pagpuri kung maganda, pagbatikos kung kailangan natin batikusin. Marami naman tayong pwedeng gawin lalo na ’yung mga taong bumoto sa kanya. Dapat maging vigilant sila para ’yung kanilang manok ay talaga namang umariba sa anim na taon,” Paner was quoted saying by Tempo in its June 28, 2016 report.
