Former Arroyo Chief of Staff Rigoberto Tiglao came up with this juicy tidbit about the supposedly monthly visits of Presidential adviser on political affairs Ronald Llamas in Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada’s office.
Tiglao wrote in his Manila Times column that he was having an interview with Estrada in the former President’s when Llamas barged in.
“Erap immediately stood up from his seat when he saw Llamas, flashed an ear-to-ear smile, turned to the table behind him, manipulated the combination lock of his briefcase and opened it, took out an envelope and asked Llamas to join him in another room,” said Tiglao.
“It didn’t take a minute for them to talk, with Llamas exchanging a few words with me for another few seconds before leaving hurriedly,” Tiglao added.
Tiglao later learned that Llamas has been a regular visitor of Estrada in the past few months.
Llamas is the founder of Akbayan party-list who was caught on camera buying bootlegged DVDs at a mini-mall near UP. He was also in the news after his car driven by his aides figured in an accident and yielded a cash of high-powered firearms such as an AK-47 and M-16.
