Wishful thinking! Kapa donor wants SC to remove Duterte, gov’t to pay P3B
The Supreme Court (SC) has been asked to remove from office President Rodrigo Duterte and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Emilio Aquino in connection with the government’s action taken against Kapa-Community Ministry which is accused of engaging in an investment scam.
This was sought by Rhema International Livelihood Foundation, Inc., one of the “donors” of Kapa.
In its petition before the SC, Rhema asked the high tribunal to order Duterte and Aquino to pay P3 billion in compensatory damages “for destroying Cirfund–an online platform project of Rhema International Livelihood Foundation, Inc.”
Rhema also sought from the SC that Duterte and Aquino “be dismissed from the office and the President be submitted for an impeachment proceedings for culpable violation of Art. Sec. 6 and Art. III known as the Bill of Rights of the Philippine Constitution.”
Apart from this, Rhema also asked the SC to impose a status quo, “expunge from the records of unregistered investment entities” its online portal Cirfund, and have “KAPA to resume their religious activity.”
The petitioner said the evidence of the President against Kapa are “just a mere opinion of Duterte.”
It added Duterte and Aquino “committed culpable violation of the constitution tantamount to the lack of jurisdiction of the office they had been entrusted by the people pursuant to the Law, Constitution.”
“Duterte and Aquino with their minions PNP, CIDG and NBI confederated together, they rob the Petitioners, with the personal papers, money and properties owned by the church without due process of Law culpable violation of the Art. III of the Constitution known as the Bill of Rights,” read the Rhema petition
