Work from home uli! DOJ employees skip office trip as Metro Manila returns to MECQ
Department of Justice (DOJ) employees and officials have been ordered to work from home.
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said on Tuesday (Aug. 4) he gave the directive after Metro Manila has been placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from Aug. 4 to 18.
“Back to work-from-home ang DOJ proper, with rotating skeleton staff to man the frontline and other key offices,” he said.
“Prosecution service in the affected areas will continue via teleconferencing and other electronic means,” he added.
Guevarra explained that this means “filing of complaints, affidavits, and other papers may be done online.”
President Rodrigo Duterte has decided to heed the call of the medical community and place Metro Manila and four other provinces under MECQ from Aug. 4 to 18.
