Yari kayo!: Admin raps filed vs ‘narco-generals’ Pagdilao, Tinio
The National Police Commission (Napolcom) has found probable cause to file administrative cases against two active police officials tagged by President Rodrigo Duterte as protectors of illegal drug syndicates.
Police Director Joel Pagdilao and Chief Superintendent Edgardo Tinio were slapped with charges for serious neglect of duty, serious irregularities in the performance of duty and conduct unbecoming of a police officer.
The charges were filed before the Napolcom commission en banc.
The Napolcom said they have yet to find direct participation of the two officials in illegal drugs trade but there is enough evidence to prove that they have been remiss in their duties in curbing illegal drugs.
The commission is likewise optimistic that the cases against the two officials will stand in court.
If proven guilty, the two will either be suspended or dismissed from service.
The Napolcom has also tapped the Anti-Money Laundering Council to conduct a lifestyle check on the two police officials and other three who were included in Duterte’s narco-generals list.
Cases have yet to file against the three namely: Police Director Bernardo Diaz, retired Deputy Director General Marcelo Garbo and former Chief Superintendent and now Daanbantayan, Cebu Mayor Vicente Loot.
Interior Secretary Mike Sueno earlier said a case against Diaz is already being drafted while Garbo and Loot are no longer under Napolcom’s jurisdiction.
